We believe the best-behaved dogs at the groomers are the ones who’ve been shown, gently and playfully, that it’s nothing to fear. That’s why we’ve created a three-step grooming journey just for puppies to help them build confidence, stay chill, and feel great from the get-go.
Always and only delivered by trained professional, qualified groomers who will love and care for your special little one!
Stage 1: The First Sniff
Gentle intro to the sights, smells & sounds of the salon
This is their first dip into the Dirty Dog life. It’s short, easy, and all about calm vibes. We’ll introduce them to the table, the dryer (on the lowest setting), and a few tools. No wash or scissors. No pressure. Just a sniff-around and some spa-lite to set them up for success.
We’re focused on getting them used to the sounds and smells so we focus on cuddles, treats, and time to explore.
Best for: Pups 10–14 weeks old (depends on breed + temperament)
Time: ~30 minutes
Stage 2 & 3: The Little Wiggle
Easing into their first real groom done the Dirty Dog way
Once they’ve had a good sniff, it’s time for a more hands-on experience. Still no full styling, but we’ll go through a gentle bath, blow-dry if they are ready for it, light brushing, nail trim, and tidy-up around the paws and privates if needed. We take it slow, watch for signs of stress, and always prioritise comfort.
Low-stress wash with natural shampoo
Soft towel dry (we’ll introduce the dryer slowly if they’re up for it)
Nail trim, light brushing, ear clean
Full gentle bath & warm blow dry
Brush-through + nail trim
Paws, eyes & sanitary tidy
Positive reinforcement and lots of wiggle breaks
Best for: 3–6 months
Time: Up to 1.5 hours
Stage 3: The Full Monty (Puppy Edition)
Their first Big Scrub-Up, and they’re ready for it.
Once your pup is confident, calm, and fully grown into their coat, they’re ready for the full grooming experience. We'll talk through the look you want, assess their coat type, and work our magic, always with kindness, patience, and top-dog products by trained professional groomers.
Full groom including coat styling to your preference
Clipping, scissoring, hand-stripping (as needed)
Nails, ears, sanitary tidy, all the usual suspects
Final fluff, fresh scent, and the kind of glow-up that gets compliments
Best for: 6+ months (once fully vaccinated + coat matured)
Time: 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on breed & coat type

The First Sniff is free. Each Little Wiggle or Full Monty puppy session is £50.
